Description

This towels is an object of Ukrainian artistic embroidery. It is an ancient and widespread genre of folk art. It is considered one of the favorite ways of decorating clothes and household objects. Traditional Ukrainian embroidery plays an important role in public events, celebrations and special occasions of the communities. For different ceremonies women wear embroidered blouses and men wear shirts (sorochky) too. It also appears on pillows, table linens, clothes and placed near household religious icons, covers the Easter baskets.
